We talked about how can we recycled papers and save the trees. This brought us to a discussion about saving papers and not loosing so many trees. Students asked many questions about which parts of trees that can be used to make paper. At the end of the lesson, students work in pairs to recall their memory about the process of making papers. They make "The 6 Stages of Processing Paper" poster with their own illustrations.

In the first of her many adventures, Madeline and her fellow orphans follow a strict daily routine (“In two straight lines/ they broke their bread/ and brushed their teeth/ and went to bed.”), Madeline has an emergency appendectomy, and everyone cries a lot. Year 1 Febriana really enjoys reading Madeline. We discussed about orphanages, orphans and their life without parents. Students showed their interests by asking questions and sharing their thoughts about orphans. At the end of the story, we decided to make a Madeline finger puppet. They explored their creativity by colouring it themselves and shared how they put same patterns and different colours on their Madeline finger puppet. |
